StreamCanon

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 31, 2026

Draft — pending legal review. This is a plain-language starting point, not legal advice. It will be reviewed by counsel before launch.

Who we are

StreamCanon is a tool for livestreamers to track sponsor obligations and produce delivery reports, operated by Geez Tech LLC, based in Michigan, USA (“StreamCanon”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what data we handle and why. Questions: privacy@streamcanon.com.

Data we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

  • Account & identity. When you sign in with Twitch or Google, we receive your handle/username, display name, and email from that provider. You can edit your display name in Settings.
  • Content you add. Contracts you upload, and the sponsors, obligations, streams, and deliveries you log.
  • Overlay token.A random token that powers your OBS overlay URL. Anyone with that URL can see your overlay's mention progress, so keep it private; you can regenerate it in Settings.
  • Stream capture (if/when you enable it). A planned feature would capture your stream audio and process it into text transcripts to count sponsor mentions automatically. This is not active yet— today, deliveries are entered by you. If we ship it, we'll update this policy and it will be opt-in.

How we use your data

To authenticate you, store and display your obligations and delivery progress, generate the reports you create, and operate the overlay. We do not sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of processors to run StreamCanon:

  • Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage (your contracts are stored in a private bucket).
  • Anthropic— we send uploaded contract text to Anthropic's API to extract obligations. We don't send your email or identity for this.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security practices.

Storage & retention

Your data is retained while your account is active. Contracts and logged data persist until you delete them or ask us to remove your account. Backups may persist for a limited period after deletion.

Sharing

Delivery reports are private until youchoose to share one with a sponsor (for example, by exporting a PDF or sharing a link). The overlay URL is accessible to anyone who has the token. We don't otherwise share your data with third parties except the processors above.

Your rights

You can access and edit your data in the app, and you can request export or deletion of your account and associated data by contacting privacy@streamcanon.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA.

Cookies

We use first-party cookies only, to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves (notably if stream capture ships). We'll change the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, give notice in the app.
